My memory in Taiwan
Nguyen Duc Tuan
(Master Student – Department of Civil Engineering) |
One year has passed so fast! Those memories come right back to the moment when I started to write down the very first word. I still remember the days I just came to Taiwan with many strange feelings; I was so deeply impressed by its lovely scenery and its bustling streets. The Taiwanese is also very kindness and friendly. I feel so lucky to be a student in the very top university of Taiwan – National Taiwan University, which has a large and beautiful campus, a perfect place for study.

A master program in NTU is a challenging and demanding one. In my case, though I had finished one year with seven courses in my country, I was expected to complete three courses in NTU and one dissertation in order to graduate. However, I do learn quite a lot from it, and the most important thing is the significant improvement of my research skills throughout the year. My advisor, Prof. Liao, Wen-Cheng, and the other professors in NTU are all very kindness. Under his advice, guidance, and encouragement throughout my research process, I have finished my study in NTU with the result beyond my expectation. Besides, I also learnt a lot from the Taiwanese students and the foreign student, they were intelligent and willing to help me whenever I needed.

I enjoyed not only the academic life here, but also the various extra-curricula activities, such as parties, trips, votes, competitions, etc. Taiwan has many beautiful scene, the countryside outside the dynamic capital is filled with an amazing variety of the most beautiful and dramatic scenery in Asia. I have been some famous places there such as Ming-Chih Forest Area, Cingjing Veterans Farm with another department in NTU or attended events like Chinese New Year, Sky Lantern Festival, etc. That were made my time in Taiwan unforgettable. I believe those precious memories will be kept in my heart for ever.
Finally, I am grateful for those people who I met, my excellent NTU friends, and the brilliant professors, thank you all for giving me those beautiful memories!
