CHRISTMAS PARTY GATHERING

The Department of Civil Engineering, National Taiwan University organized a luncheon Christmas Party gathering for international students on Friday 25, December 2009 at noon. There were about 70 students both local and foreign students within the department from Bangladesh, Cambodia, Indonesia, Taiwan and Vietnam joined the gathering.
Prof. Shang-Hsien Patrick Hsieh, Professor and Vice Chairman of the department, had a brief opening speech for this an auspicious event. In this occasion, we foreign students had the opportunity to introduce ourselves, sing Christmas songs and national songs, played a Vietnamese game called “Balloon Striker” and exchanged gifts along together with Taiwanese students. The party gathering was closed at 1:45 pm with friendly and memorable sentiment.
On behalf of foreign students and myself, we express our gratitude to the Department of Civil Engineering that made this invaluable and memorable event to us. We feel warm like at home. We wish we would have such kind of events organized to help us learning and understanding more from each other from different countries, cultures and tradition, building networking. Thank You. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year !
